Employment + Internships and Careers (EPIC)

Once enrolled in the EPIC Program, you will receive the following services:

  • Job Readiness: The program teaches you the skills you need to become ready for your new job. The course includes how to search for and apply for work. Resumes, job applications, interviewing and employers’ expectations are all covered in this exciting course. EPIC students receive the National Retail Federation’s Customer Service Certification and the ServSafe Certification. These certifications provide employers with confidence that you have the skills they need.
  • Job Talks: Employers regularly come to talk to students about the jobs they have open and what skills and attitudes they look for in the people they hire.
  • Paid Internships: Our team can help connect you with paid internships related to your career goals. This provides valuable experience about the field of work you are pursuing.
    • Up to 28 hours per week for 6 – 12 weeks
  • Job Training
    • Hospitality: Prepares students for jobs in hotels and lodging
    • Shipping and Receiving: Prepares students for jobs in warehousing
    • Administrative Office Assistant: Prepares students for jobs in offices
  • Internships: Internships try to match student interests with on-the-job experiences alongside adult mentors at sites where students practice what they learned in training.
  • Placement in a Job or College: The program helps students find work after training, and even to enroll in college, either for academic classes or for technical classes. Some students both get a job and take college classes.
